Down the Chimney

This is Deb with a Design Team project for October. Santa will soon be coming down the chimney so, for those who love creating paper art, it's time to get the preparations rolling. Here's a project that features QKR Stampede's digital image entitled Stockings Hung. I chose this image for the opportunity to try coloring a brick wall with Copics.

Here's how this project came together....

Start with a 10 1/2 x 7 1/4 inch green card base, folded in half. Top with a piece of gold paper cut at 5 1/8 x 7 1/8 inches, and a pattered paper cut at 5 x 7.

Print the image, trim, sponge edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink, and color with Copics, as follows:
Brick: E04, E07, E08
Mantle: E31, 33, 34, 35
Boots: C5, C7, C9, 100
Pants: R24. R27, R29
Stockings: YG67, Y28, R59, B37, E18

Add Marvy Liquid Applique, allow to dry for 24 hours, and heat set to puff.

Using the largest die in Spellbinders Card Creator Fancy Ribbon Threader, cut a piece of gold. String with burgundy ribbon and adhere to left side of card.

Cut a piece of gold paper just a bitg bigger than the image, and a piece of green just a bit bigger again, adhere layers and add image. Adhere to front of card, along the side of the ribbon.

Print greeting with QKR Stampede's digi Merry Christmas. Trim, color with Copics, sponge with Distress Ink Antique Linen. Cut a green background just a big larger and adhere sentiment and backing to card.

Finish with a ribbon bow and dots of black glitter in the fireplace.
